The KAI: The Artificial Intelligence Robot STEM Experiment Kit app offers a comprehensive platform for safely exploring artificial intelligence and advanced computing technologies. This innovative application complements the physical experiment kit, which allows users to construct their own six-legged AI robot that responds to user gestures and sounds.

The app guides users through three fundamental steps to develop a functional AI model, facilitating the control of the robot via poses or auditory cues:

 <li>Data Collection: The app simplifies the data collection process necessary for defining specific movements or sounds that control the robot's actions, such as walking, turning, or stopping. This step introduces users to the principles of machine learning as their AI robot adapts to the gestures and sounds provided.</li>
 
 <li>Training the AI Model: The gathered data is compiled into a dataset that serves as the foundation for creating an AI model capable of learning from user inputs.</li>
 
 <li>Interaction with the Robot: Once the model is trained, users can execute the assigned poses or sounds to navigate the robot, allowing for an engaging and interactive experience.</li>

The app enables gesture recognition, allowing users to assign specific functions to various movements. For instance, raising a right arm may command the robot to move in that direction. Similarly, sound recognition features let users create audio triggers for actions, such as clapping to initiate movement.

In addition to these functionalities, the app includes a remote control mode. Users can operate their robot using a virtual joystick or position sensor available on their mobile devices, bypassing AI functions entirely. Customization options allow users to alter facial expressions displayed on the robot's LED screen through pre-set options or personalized drawings and text.
